Can the CNC Machine Be Operated Without Electricity?

Can the CNC Machine Be Operated Without Electricity?

2022-07-12 16:56:19

Generally, CNC machine tools have batteries, some are system batteries, which are used to save system parameters, and some are batteries for position encoders, which are used to remember the zero point. If the machine is not turned on for a long time, it is easy for the battery to run out of power, resulting in the loss of machine tool data. The editor here reminds you to replace the battery of the machine bed regularly. In particular, replace the battery before shutting down on vacation.

If the CNC machine tool is turned on and has no power, the operation method:

Turn on the machine, do not release the emergency stop, open the electrical cabinet behind the machine tool, and replace the battery. Replace within fifteen minutes, otherwise the data will be lost. Then release the emergency stop, reset, and return to zero.

If the new battery is out of power for a few days, you can check whether there is a problem with the position encoder that causes the battery to run out, or ask a maintenance engineer to help you solve it. The system replaces the battery, and the battery must be replaced when the machine is powered on, without changing any parameters. Otherwise, follow the steps below:

  1. Numerical control system: the battery behind the display can be replaced directly.

  1. The reference point should be reset after the battery on the CNC system driver of the machining center (used for the motor encoder, that is, for returning to zero without the collision block) is replaced.

  1. Steps for setting the zero point of the numerical control system without collision block: Install the batteries on the X-axis and Z-axis amplifiers respectively. Set parameter 1815#5 to 1, the zero return method without stroke block is valid. Set parameter 1815#4 to zero.

Shake the X-axis, Y-axis, and Z-axis to the place where the zero point is to be set in the manual mode, and then set the parameter 1815#4 to 1. Power off the  CNC machine tool and power it on again.

  1. Shake the X-axis and Z-axis back more than 100 MM in the manual mode, and then set the mode selection to the zero-return mode, and perform manual zero-return operations respectively. After the zero return is completed, the zero return indicator of the corresponding axis will be on.

How to choose lamps for CNC machine tools?

First of all, it is necessary to determine what the environment of use is, and what requirements need to be met to choose whether to use fluorescent lamps, tungsten halogen (or LED lamp beads) lamps, or choose the simplest JB lamps, because of their waterproof and dustproof effects. are different. The second is to choose the appropriate power and voltage. The voltage can be AC or DC. Generally, there are a variety of voltages to choose from. The common ones are 12v, 24v, 36v, 110v and 220v. You can choose the most suitable power, no need to pursue The brighter the better, generally according to the space used to achieve the best effect. Third, after making the above two choices, choose the installation shape. The common installation forms include screw installation (round and square), magnetic fixation and shelf fixation, etc. You can choose according to the specific use requirements.
